Wintering of Scaup Aythya marila on Jarun, Zagreb

Abstract

From 15th to 23rd January 2004, one pair of Scoup Aythya marila wintered on the Jarun lake, Zagreb, in the flock of Mute Swans Cygnus olor, Mallards Anas platyrhynchos and Coots Fulica atra. A juvenile Whooper Swan Cygnus cygnus, female Mandarin Duck Aix galericulata, seven Tufted Ducks Aythya fuligula, and two male Pochards Aythya ferina were also present.
