Abstract

Inclusive trends are reflected in significantly greater inclusion of children with chronic condition in regular preschool programs. The challenges of their involvement are associated with health status of the child that affects his educational progress. The paper describes two children with chronic diseases and procedures in the preschool teachers' work which include making adaptation for this children due to their participation in regular activities. Preschool teacher ability to meet needs of child with epilepsy and epidermolysis bullosa by knowing the impact of his health on educational functioning is the foundation of his work, especially in area of planning and creating an individualized program. Individualized approach is related to the adjustment of space, activities and the tempo to a child with a chronic illness, despite the frequent absence, in order to their academic and social achievement. The role of the preschool teacher is to facilitate social interaction and to cooperate with parents and professional associates.
