Abstract

The application of modern information technologies and flexible automatisation brings important changes into the world of production. Traditional production conception based on the principles of big division of labour, small content of labour, big series and minimum time of operation changes with the application of modern technologies into new production conception based on small division of labour, big content of labour, small series and minimum time for the realisation of the whole production task. The influence of the application of modern technologies on the company and on the range and content of labour of the workers employed in engineering industry has been analysed in practice.
The result of this analysis can be summarized as follows:
1) Integrated production system must necessarily be devided into more subsystems, independent if possible, in order to insure high availability of the system.
2) Integration of the tasks and functions is necessary in order to reduce the expanses of organization, to increase quality and to shorten the cycle of product manufacturing.
3) Range and complexity of preparatory activities in the system will increase because of the dynamic influence of the market and the need of detailed planning of the process.
4) Organizational structure of the company will be coordinated with the structure of the computer and with the organization of the process, and when compared to the traditional organization it will probably have smaller number of hierarchical levels.
5) The number of work posts in the process of production will be reduced but the security for those remaining will be increased.
6) The man and the machine are no more a relevant unit of the capacity because the man is freed from performing of the process.
7) High qualification of the employees, their universality and team work should be the guarantee for high productivity and flexibility of the system.
8) Activity of the employed and the organization of their work depend on technical possibilities of the system.
With integrated systems they are very high and enable engineers, psychologists and sociologists to work out, within range of given technical conditions and through interdisciplinary work, such a content and scope of work that will be available to a man.
Finally, we can say that, with regard to the traditional production, great changes will take place. But we must be ready for them considering general progress of the
society.
