Abstract

The language of Vid Omišljanin's Breviary is less homogeneous than the language of other Croato-glagolitic breviaries . The Greek influence is stronger in this breviary than in other breviaries, and it is seen on the phonological, lexical, syntactic and textual level. This breviary is also characterized by archaic features, and many old and rare words. It is also important to stress Bosnian influence, as well as the influence of Latin codexes and the Croatian vernacular (Čakavian dialect).
