Abstract

Nitrophilous edge community Dipsacetum pilosi belonging to the alliance Geo-Alliarion was found in northern Croatia. It is the first record of this community on the territory of Croatia.. This association has been observed in the lower part of the mountains Strahinscica, Ivanscica and Psunj as well as in the environment of Krapina and Radoboj. Dipsacetum pilosi is rare in the investigated area. The community grows mainly in the lower mountain and hill areas, forming fringes on forest margins in the Fagetalia-region. Two subassociations can be distinguished within the association in northern Croatia, namely subass. typicum and subass. aegopodietosum, which are also known from F. R. of Germany.
