Contribution to the Flora of the Island of Šolta

Abstract
The flora of the central Dalmatian island of Šolta has been poorly investigated till now. Earlier on, Host (in Visiani 1826), Petter (1832), Visiani (1826, 1942—1852), and later on by Horvatic (1958), Horvatić and Hodak (1970) and Trinajstić (1984) cited 142 species.
During recent floristic investigations of this island the author found 157 species of vascular plants which had not been registered so far.
Accordingly, 299 plant species are now known from the island Šolta.
