Cucumber Mosaic Virus obtained from Pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Abstract

From infected pepper (Capsicum annuurn L.) plants grown in the surroundings of the town of Bijeljina a rather unstable cucumovirus isolate was obtained. Concerning the host range reactions and its stability in sap, the virus was similar to the typical strains of cucumber mosiac virus (CMV). Its behaviour in experiments of double radial immunodiffusion showed the affiliation to unstable CMV isolates.
