Abstract

There is present the population of useful and harmful organisms in orchards, depending on the production mode. Among numerous harmful species which cause economic damage, there are also useful insects, predators which control the population of harmful ones. Almost every harmful organism has its predator which maintains the natural balance. When the balance is disturbed, man interferes, who uses direct and indirect measures in his attempt to maintain balance. The question arises there about the usage of selective pesticides, i.e. those which have the effect on a narrow circle of insects that make significant economic damage by sparing useful entomofauna at the same time.
