Abstract

In the last few years the existarace of parasitic nematodes and fungi has been noted in several localities of SR Srbia more and more frequently. This phenomenon has manifested itself quite clearly on maize crop localities of Leskovac, Vranje, Gnjilane, Kovin, Senta. Mainly migratory endoparasitic forms of nematodes of Pratclenchus species and parasitirc ftrngi Fusarium spp. have been traced. Except mentironed varieties (locality Vralnje-Pavlovac) a stalk nematode (Ditylenchus dipsaci) and a root nematode (Metroidogyne incognita) together with Fusarium spp. have been found. The identification of parasitic nematodes and fungi, their mutual relation and their common harmful effect on the host plant (maize) are the subject of our investigations.
