Abstract

In the Turopolje region during 1973, 1974 and 1975 ,researshes were done into weed flora (inventory and percentual weight proportion of weed species) of the meadows - as. Caricetum tricostato-vulpine, as. Deschampsietum caespitosae and as. Nardetum strictae camapicolum. The results of the investigations are the following: 1) In the as. Caricetum tricostato-vulpinae 37 weed species have been determined. Their average weight proportion in the sod amounts to 81,9%. The relatively high weight proportion of harmful species (23,7%) adverts that the fodder from these meadows might prove dangerous for cattle nutrition. 2 ) In the as. Deschampsietum caespitosae 42 weed species have been recorded with an average at 80,7% of green mass weight. The species Deschampsia caespitosa makes 36,3% of sod in those meadows. In view of economically negative features of the species, it is the fact that points to the necessity of its control. 3) In the as. Nardetum strictae campicoIum 51 weed species make on the average 72,4% of sod weight. ln view of weight proportion, especially prominent are the species Deschampsia caespitosa (21,0%), Nardus stricta (14,5%) and Agrostis canina (9,9%).
