Abstract
During the rescue excavation of the AN 3B Beli Manastir – Sedmitar site on the A5 motorway, route Osijek – Beli Manastir, remains of a late medieval/early modern age settlement were discovered. It was probably populated by several families. The site is located southwest of Beli Manastir, on slight elevations that slope down to what used to be a smaller water current Haljevo (fig. 1). Rescue excavations covered 27,783 m2. A more considerable concentration of objects was detected on the elevation further to the north, most notably, pits, pithouses (fig. 2) and wells. There are also several posthole formations from rectangular house foundations (fig. 5). The second concentration of objects was discovered on the south edge of the site, most notably, pit burials, a larger well (fig. 4) and a rectangular pit with burnt edges (fig. 3).
