THE EFFECT OF BIURET ON THE GROWTH AND YIELD OF CORN

Abstract

The effect of biuret on the corn yield has been tested. The amounts of 3, 6,9,15 and 20 kg of the pure biuret per hectare has been taken in the trial and the treated plots were compaired to non treated plots. It has been established that biuret as the constant inpurity of urea has a depressive action on the develpment and on yield of corn in the amounts of over 6 kg per hectare, wheraes the amounts over 9 kg per hectare lower the geminability of the seed and the yield, in addition such amounts provocate the caracteristic hurts on the corn plants.
