ACHIEVEMENTS OF INSTITUTE- ZAGREB IN BREEDING OF WINTER WHEATS

Abstract

Among released 49 winter wheat varieties of the Institute - Zagreb, seven were recognised in 1993: Rina, Darka, Tina, Olga, Sandra, Sutla and Rugvica. Varieties are widely adapted, with high yielding capacity, good enough baking quality and incorporated genetical resistance to powdery mildew, Fusarium spp., and Septoria spp.for stability of high yield.
