Abstract

In order to determine economic and other characteristic of new Croatian and foreign cultivars in our agricultural and ecological conditions, microtrials were set up on experiment field of Agricultural faculty in Zagreb. ln 1994 11 00-cultivars were in trials, in 1995 13 cultivars, in 1996 14 cultivars, with Silvia as a standard. Seed yield of almost all 00-cultivars in trials was similar to yield of cultivar Silvia. Oil content was very high (44,9 – 51,8% on dry matter basis). Investigated cultivars (B-009, Sabrina, Eurol, Vivol, Prima, Semu 90-1, Semu 95-12) had the same or higher crude oil yield than standard. New 00-cultivars, introduced and registered in Croatia (Eurol, Samurai and Erika) have significantly low content of glucosinolate (below 15 µmol/g seed).
