Abstract

Anthological display architecture of the 20th century. Yields very few examples of ecclesiastical architecture in contrast to earlier centuries when the church was the most important feature of buildings of this period. The author analyzes the reasons: unplanned, mostly wild urbanization, lack of adequate space, lack of experience of architects and clients churches. Particularly noteworthy is the need to integrate church in the natural environment and has already realized construction building. For examples, five of Split churches where construction is in progress, indicates the problems faced by architects and authorities, but also point out solutions.
