Abstract

Colorado potato beetle (CPB) is the most important pest on potato. It is controlled regularly. Due to incorrect use of insecticides the pest developed resistance to organophosphorous insecticides and pyrethroids in the late 80-ies. In the paper, the basic principles of integrated pest management for CPB were elaborated. The special emphasis is given on non pesticide methods for its control as the way to postpone the need for pesticide application.
