Abstract

The purpose of this report is to describe a theoretical and practical presentation for two simple approaches for analysis of slug tests in formations of high hydraulic conductivity. It describes the concept of slug test, and shows the benefits of slug test compared to other field methods. Both approaches involve the graphical matching of theoretical type curves to plots of slug-test response data. The first approach is a spreadsheet-based procedure using the Excel software package and and their comparison with software package AQTESOLV. Explanation of slug test analysis procedure is supported by graphs which are obtained in situ measurements at the site of the pumping station "Varazdin".
