Abstract

In this essay I start from the presumption that Svetozar Petrović from the very beginning of his scientific career has polemical and critical relation towards so called Zagrebschool of literary criticism the main lines of his critics is to be seen in the negation of the scientific legitimacy of the immanent approach to the literary texts. Separating from Zagreb school, he develops peculiar theory of the literary history suitable for the research in the field of multinational communities. This theory shows its virulence especially in the times of Yugoslav breaking, but, and that is the theme of the second part of my essay, it has to be supplemented with newer developments in the literary science in order to be applicable to the Post-Yugoslav literatures too. Thereby I take an example of Bosnian-Herzegovinian literature in which I see the possibility of applying so-called “entangled history”.
