Abstract

An overview of the research conducted as of this
writing has been used to clarify the positive effects of
physical activity on mood swings, as well as its
application in alleviating symptoms of depression. The
influence and role of individual chemical messengers
have also been explained in these studies. Years of
extensive research have suggested that the excretion of
these messengers is enhanced by physical activity, which
helps them to enhance moods. This paper places special
emphasis on the role of endorphins and the effect of their
excretion during physical activity on mood swings and on
the development of exercise addiction. Ashort review also
addresses the possible negative influence of physical
activity, and a conclusion sets forth the categorization of
various physical activities based on their potential ability
to induce a desired positive influence on mental health.
