Abstract
Psychoanalysis and film share the same year of their inception and are two parallel research projects of the human Unconscious with different approaches and goals, but overlapping, interrelating, and interpreting each other. In the paper the accent on the treat and use of narratives on films in the clinical material that patient brings in the psychodynamic psychotherapies sessions. This material we could see, in a certain way, as an equivalent of the dream narrative. This material hides inside the unconscious content that could not be
expressed in that phase of the therapy in a more direct way. The therapist should consider it seriously no matter if he/she is a fan or connossieur of the Cinema or not, and no matter if he/she has already seen the mentioned film or not. The therapist could use this material for better understanding of psychic reality of the patient as well as the current position inside the transference/countertransference matrix. Clinical vignettes are given as an illustration, also the comparison with the use of toys in the psychotherapy of children.
