Abstract

Considerations regarding the conditions of the physical relations among substance, motion and time are based on the physics of relativity and thereby placed in the centre of its modern scientific ontology. This explains the philosophical examinations of the validity of these fundamental categories of the physics of relativity in the science of physics as well as in the science of philosophy of nature. One of such essential investigations originated from the positivist orientation within the contemporary philosophy, to which Russell, Frank, Bradley, Poincaré, Whitehead, Reichenbach, and pragmatist Bridgman, among others, certainly belong. This review article examines some of their essential, mostly logical, epistemological and methodological standpoints. However, the aim of this article is not to comprehensively and in detail interpret this subject.
