THE ČAKAVIAN VARIANT IN THE "SENJSKI PUNTAPET" (SENJ BROOCH) BY MIROSLAV KOVAČEVIĆ FROM SENJ

Abstract

The work analyses the language of Senjski puntapet (Senj Brooch) (1977) by Miroslav Kovačević from Senj, a poet who wrote both in the Croatian standard language and the speech of the city of Senj. A comparison is made between the author’s čakavian poetic language and the speech of Senj with the conclusion that Kovačević’s simple and honest verses makes us familiar with the speech of Senj
and give us an insight into his poetic creativity.
