Abstract

In his distinctive reflective attempt to develop philosophy of subjectivity in the direction of one of intersubjectivity Levinas attaches crucial and decisive role to erotic relationship. Absolute alterity, as a condition for the establishment of ethical social life, finds its original form in erotic alterity. However, as our author also radically brings into question the existence of the Other, the question of sustainability of erotic alterity in ethical configuration emerged.
