Abstract

At the time of economic and proprietary transformation of society and transition from a planned economy to a free market, the theme of ethics in the economy is very topical. The author discusses the Christian principles that should be respected in economic business: the dignity and development of all people and peoples, the solidarity of the human family, the promotion of creativity. It also warns of ecological problems that accompany economic development and responsibility for them. Principles based on the Church's social doctrine have been exposed with special emphasis on teaching the encyclical papal John Paul II of Centesimus annus.
