Abstract
A group of eight albino rats adapted to muscular work showed a statistically significant fall in the eosinophil cell count after receiving a stressing dose of adrenalin (0.02 mg/100 g). Another group of animals consisting of eight rats adapted to adrenalin showed no eosinophil cell reaction after obtaining a stressing dose of muscular work (30 min. of running). Thus animals adapted to adrenalin showed signs of adaptation to muscular work. However, there was no cross adaptation to adrenalin in animals adapted to muscular work.
