Abstract

Recently dreams have not been seen only from the perspective of a dreamer’s inner life, but also as a way of conveying information about the impact of group dynamic and a dreamer’s broader social environment to the dreamer.
Dreams can be seen as jointly designed, as a part of the inter-subjective process within a group, or as a part of the matrix or as a way to eject the unacceptable parts of the self to the others by a mechanism of a protective identification.
The group provides opportunities of containment and metabolizing of heavy „digestible“ dreams material. In addition to opportunities for „rigorous“ analysis, dreams offer possibility for playful communication in the group about possible unconscious dynamics meanings.
