Abstract

This paper represents the knowledge about the importance of the Gospić list of names with the analyses of the names of three generations of children attending the first year of school in the period of 25 years. The time difference amongst the three chosen groups is 10 and 15 years. The purpose of the work is to show the movement and selection of names, diversity of names, representation of certain names, origins of names, creation of names, their grammatical value and historical conditioning.
