Abstract

During the floristic research of Plešivica hills, a great number of honey
plants were observed. For that reason the melliferous flora with 170 taxa (165
species and 5 subspecies) that belonged to 46 families was singled out. The
most dominant families were Lamiaceae, Fabaceae, Rosaceae and Asteraceae.
The highest number of species was noted on ruderal habitats such as
roadsides, paths and hedges (128 species), the sides of ditches (73 species),
vineyards (55 species), meadows (46 species), gardens with orchards and
private plots (44 species) and plough-fields (42 species).
