Abstract

The effect of the lighting on the operation of the SS device can be easily monitored using a LLS system. In order to perform a proper quality control of each ground resistance value, it is necessary to perform measurements in accordance with the applicable standards. Surge protection needs to be controlled regularly. After connecting overvoltage to the ground by the surge protection, sometimes certain elements still continue to be connected to the ground. The state, in which surge protection elements continually achieve a ground-based connection, causes the earth fault that consequently disables the proper work of the IT system. The condition, in which the overvoltage protection elements are defective after lighting, at the first subsequent lighting the overvoltage will not be grounded.
