Abstract
Innovation is based on applying science and skills
to solve problems and demands from future innovators.
The main motivating factors for innovation
are: satisfaction of innovators achieving
something quite new, material benefit and public
rewarding. Innovation depends first and foremost
on creative individuals, but also on the mass
character of dealing with this activity, on the support
they have in the workplace and on the support
of the state and society. The important factor
for achieving the market success is entrepreneurship
that takes primary role in the designing
and placement on the market of innovative
and new products. In addition to these technological
innovations, an important role in the development
of an organization also have social innovations
that are most commonly associated with
business models. Therefore, if the management
of an organization or the local community wants
to achieve commercial and economic success, it
must create a motivating environment for the creation
of innovations and adapt the organization
to the efficient implementation of new ideas. The
described examples of social innovation within
public limited companies can contribute to faster
development of local communities. Thus, they become
socially responsible and not considered as
monopolies with no market behavior.
