The Preparation and Properties of Some a-Arylureidoesters

Abstract

In connection with our work on ~ -ureidoesters 1 • 2 some ethyl esters of a -ure·ido acids were required for comparative experiments. Although rx- ureido acids, i.e. h y dantoic acids, are standard compounds for the characterization of amino acids, very few of their esters, particularly arylureidoesters, have been prepared so far.
