Abstract

During October 2017 Institute of Archaeology conducted the first archaeological excavation of Jalžabet ‒ Carev jarek site, east of Varaždin. The text gives an overview of the field archaeological research of the site from the Early Iron Age. The basic types of archaeological objects and movable finds recorded during the research are presented, with particular attention being paid to the discovery of the remains of the architecture of the prehistoric settlement.
