Abstract

The issue of services in international trade is extremely complex and requires serious treatment by each country. It refers to the fields of diploma qualification and recognition, freedom of service provision
and establishment. Most countries in transition have still not identified the consequences of the deregulation of services. In general, the consequences will be of great importance. The Republic of Croatia has already submitted first offers in the field of services in a framework of GATS. With some of the countries, bilateral negotiations have already started.
