Abstract

The aim of the article is to determine the incidence and frequency of the fictional works of Anglophone children's and young adults' literature mediated by literary adaptation of the animated film adaptations by Walt Disney Studio in Croatian translations in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Browsing the relevant library catalogues according to title, author, translator, publishing series and publisher, has yielded 435 literary adaptations (direct adaptations and derivatives) of 16 full-length animated films. The material compiled is further analyzed with the purpose of determining the frequency of publishing translations, as well as the share of individual publishers, language of the original, author and other collaborators on specific adaptations, and various editions.
