Abstract

The article presents a brief introduction to the method of micrological description and phenomenological interpretation of situational impressions. The theoretical reference horizon is the New Phenomenology by Hermann Schmitz. Using excerpts from the explication of impressions of a weekly market that ends over hours, methodical principles and paths of understanding are illustrated. These principles systematically follow the paradigmatic structure of phenomenology, and they are to be understood like a tracing and thinking autopsy. Finally, “micrologies” are examined in terms of their significance for man’s coming into the postmodern world.
