Abstract
On the basis of metrical characteristics of assessment instruments for estimation of the hypothetic factor of flexibility and on the basis of the factor structure of these instruments it is possible to conclude that all applied tests have extremely good metric characteristics (the reliability is generally .98-.99).
Indisputably all items of each separate assessment instrument belong to one common manifest space because the structures of the item correlation matrices are very pregnant and their projections on the first main component are significant.
The factor structure of the applied tests was determined and two dimensions of flexibility were isolated: flexibility of several joints and hip flexibility.
On the basis of such metrical characteristics of the applied tests and on the basis of factor structure it is suggested to keep slightly modified tests: PK, PD, I, PR, U and PT as the assessment instruments of the general flexibility factor and the tests BŠ and ČŠ as the assessment instruments of estimation of the hypothetic factor of the hip flexibility.
