Abstract

A famous result in topology, i.e., the Jordan curve theorem, is usually regarded as a result whose statement is obvious, but whose proof
is very difficult. In this paper, we present some interesting facts concerning this theorem and show how these ideas can be used in applications, more precisely, in digital image processing
