Abstract

Animals are a topic that is always current and interesting to students. The sixth-grade Science curriculum includes animals of the forest that is widespread in the area where the students live and thus they have some hands-on experience with it. A TV show was designed for this lesson in which all students had a specific role. Before the show, the students explore a terrain to find animal organisms of a certain layer of the continental deciduous forest, and then, in the show, they report about the animals and their adaptation to the environment. The students were enthusiastic about the task and showed a great interest in the topic. At the same time, they applied their background knowledge and experience while performing the activity, which contributed to a better quality of the lesson.
