The effect of some sports disciplines on the pupils' psychosomatic development

Abstract

The experimental physical education, including 1451 pupils from 5th to 8th grade of primary school, lasted for a year. The effect of training was determined for track-and-field, gymnastics, swimming, basketball, volley ball, soccer and handball.
The overall estimation of effect of different sports points to the fact that sport games, as polistructural motor activities or complex type. In the first stage of training these sports are not especially, because their motor structure is too complex pupils to practice. Monostructural sports showed stronger influence on the development of chosen dimensions, because it is possible to practice such sports in more intensive way and competition conditions from every beginning, due to more simple and more natural structure of movement in the sports.
On the basis of the results the program of physical education for higher classes of primary school is proposed.
