Abstract

This paper deals with Hvar monument facade proportions including the Cathedral in Hvar and the church of St Stephen in Stari Grad. Loggia was once proclaimed to be the most gracious Renaissance building in Dalmatia.
The biggest and the most beautiful facade dominating Hvar Square of St. Stephen I, Pope and martyr, the square being the largest in Dalmatia, is the work of domicile masters and architects. So is the facade of the church of St. Stephen in Stari Grad, having been designed by Korčula building/carving school staff. The proportions of the mentioned facades have been studied and presented by mathematic precision.
