Abstract

Thirteen tests for the estimation of movement rapidity and 23 anthropometric measures were applied on the sample of 684 male subjects. On the achieved results a canonical analysis was carried out.
The analysis produced four significant factor whose structure allows the assumption about negative influence of inert balast masses on the tests of simple movement rapidity and a stimulating effect on the results in the movement frequency tests, which brings about the conclusion that anthropometric status clearly differentiates movement rapidity tests into two sets.
Biomechanic characteristics of motor subspace tests with regard to the simple rapidity and anatomic characteristics contained in the measures of anthropometrics are also a significant motive for the manifestation of canonical correlations between both subspaces of anthropological status.
