Threatened flora of the Požega Valley and surrounding mountains

Abstract
Due to its diversity the Požega Valley is a very interesting area to research. Researshing the vascular flora in this area 1582 plant taxa were recorded of which many are in different threat categories. By comparing the recorded plant taxa with the Red Book of Vascular Flora of Croatia we have discovered that 5.50 % of plants are threatened and many other taxa are in the data deficient (DD) group. In the Red Book of Plant Species in the Republic of Croatia 49 plant taxa and in the Red Book of Vascular Flora of Croatia 87 taxa presented from this area.
