Abstract

Ten St. John's wort (Hypericum perforatum L.) accessions from the Collection of medicinal and aromatic plants of the Croatian Bank of Plant Genes originating from Croatia (9) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (1) were included in the field experiment.
On ten randomly chosen plants per plot the following quantitative traits were scored: plant height (cm), number of branches, number of flowering branches, weight of the fresh and dried stems with leaves (g), and weight of the fresh and dried roots (g).
St. John's Wort accessions differed significantly in all the analysed quantitative traits. The accession HBG00602 representing the population from Doljani, Metković and the accession HBG00896 from Nerezine, island of Lošinj showed higher values for the most of the analyzed traits.
