Abstract

Reception theory emphasizes reader’s reception in making meaning of literature work. It is generally based on the communication process between author and his audience. A form of reception theory is based on two main points: readers’ horizon of expectation on the one hand and narrative gaps on the other. In literature, emotions are implemented through language, so in the context of reception theory, we can establish that emotions develop within the communication process. Readers’s reception of emotions in literature work, identification and interpretation can provide influence in understanding of the reader’s own emotional life.
