Abstract

The Correlation ofsituation-related tests and some coordination tests has been analyzed on a sample of 39 girl gymnasts from the I, II and III level of primary schools of modern rhythmic gymnastics
in Zagreb.
The first group of variables consisted of 8 tests used for the evaluation of the situation-related motor abilities in the modern rhythmic gymnastics, and the second group of variables consisted of 6 coordination tests that have been selected in such a way that according to their movement structures, they didn't have much resemblance to situation tests.
After dividing the gymnasts into groups in order to avoid the influence of their chronological age on the test results, these results have been analyzed by using the quasicanonical analysis of
covariances.
The results show that low and medium intercorrelations of situation-related motor tests and coordination tests have been achieved, whereby two possible sources of covariability of scales
for situation-related abilities and coordination have been established.
