Abstract
A sample of 54 subject between 13 and 14 and divided into two groups, was used to carry out a study with the aim to establish the efficiency of development of some motor abilities by application of two kinesiologic activities - judo and football. The differences between the two groups in some tests of motor abilities which had appeared in the period of one year as a result of training, were analysed by method of quantitative changes under the so called model of differences and the univariant analysis of variance.
Before the experimental treatment no significant differences were established between the groups in the space of manifest variables intended to assess co-oridnation, repetitive force and frequency of movements. However, after a one year training process these differences had become evident.
Testing of differences in motor abilities between the first and the second measuring and the analysis through the first function of differences, indicate significant differences between the groups, in avour of the group of junior judo players. The distance of the centroids of the groups in the space of manifest variables is also significant as is the difference between the groups of junior judo players. The distance of centroids of the groups in the space of manifest variables is also significant as is the difference between the groups on the discriminative function defined by Mahalanobis' distance. The treatment which the junior judists had undergone, resulted in greater changes in motor abilities than the treatment undergone by junior football players. These teste had contributed to the discrimination between the two groups: 20 meter run, knee-bends, agility on the ground, tapping, creeping and crawling. In the latent space, the factors of frequency of movements and co-ordination discriminate the groups more than the factor of repetitive force.
