Abstract

The study was performed on a sample of 240 women, aged 19 to 21, divided into three groups of 80 subjects, two of which were experimental and one served as a control group. They were subjected to specifically designed kinesiologic treatment. The effects of this kinesiological treatment were tested by means of 22 variables covering areas of some anthropometric, functional, motor and psychologic characteristics. The results of measurements, obtained in the initial and the final stage, were treated in multivariant analysis of variance and the discriminative analysis, and allow the following concluskions:
(1) The groups differ statistically in 19 out of 22 applied variables. Out the three groups, the most evident difference were to be found in the 2. experimental group while the control group did not show any differences.
(2) The measures of speed frequency, endurance and, somewhat, balance have the greatest discriminative value.
(3) The kinesilogic treatment was composed so that the students had two regular 60 minute periods of physical education per week plus an extra 90 minutes. The treatment proved useful and should probably adopted as the model curriculum for physical education in academic institutions.
(4) Since man is a multidimensional system and since changes in the system as a whole. But, in order to prove this further analysis should be undertaken.
(5) The results of this study imply a series of further studies on behavior and changes that can be achieved in the organism as a result of volume of strain and the sort of treatment.
