Abstract

Crown gall of grapevine, caused by bacterium Agrobacterium vitis, is widespread in all viticultural areas. Galls can develop on any part of the plant, even below the soil surface. As for most of bacterial plant diseases, it is crucial to try and prevent the disease occurrence in the vineyard.
