Abstract

The sample used in the study consisted of a selected group of 54 second-year students at the Faculty of Physical Culture, aged 19 to 21, who have passed judo as subject of their study. The task was to test situational and motor abilities necessary to perform the techniques and fight in judo. The aim of the study was to determine the metric characteristics of the tests designed for the purpose to measure specific co-ordination, speed of movement on the floor and static force. Seven tests were applied, five of which showed satisfactory metric characteristics, particularly in the assessment of specific co-ordination and speed on the floor. All these tests can be used in practice, both for determination of training condition and for selection of judoists.
