Abstract

The canonic correlation analysis revealed a significant correlation between the cognitive, connate, motor and anthropometric variables and the performance in wrestling in standing position. The investigation was carried out on a sample 228 sudents. Wrestling techniques are better executed by individuals with lower longitudinal dimensions of the skeleton, smaller pelvis, greater co-ordination and flexibility, greater relative strength, better balance, higher cognitive abilities and non anxious individuals.
